ALIYAH INTRODUCTION
Since making Aliyah 25 years ago with our family, I have often thought about those Jews and their families in Europe who lived under Nazi rule with nowhere to go. Israel did not exist so they were at the mercy of animals who made the “Final Solution” their goal to destroy the Jewish people.
It has always bothered me why many of those Jews did not realize their lives were in danger when the Nazis rose to power in 1933 and made it quite clear Jews were not welcome in Germany and began their wave of terror against our people.
Beginning in April 1933, scores of measures defining the status of Jews and their rights were instituted.[53] These measures culminated in the establishment of the Nuremberg Laws of 1935, which stripped them of their basic rights.[54] The Nazis would take from the Jews their wealth and their right to occupy many fields of labor (such as law, medicine, or education). Eventually the Nazis declared the Jews as undesirable to remain among German citizens and society.[55]
The US Democratic Party is continuing to allow those “Squad” members who openly criticize and insult America’s ally Israel and my fellow Israelis to remain in their Party. This should serve as a warning to all American Jews still living in the US that the longer those “Squad” members and their supporters remain in their seats, the more dangerous it will become for Jews to live in America. The recent rise in Anti-Semitic attacks is just one example. But even more disturbing is their recent vote against the funding of the Israeli Iron Dome which in effect again confirms their desire to destroy Israel, which terrorist group Hamas loudly supports.
Baruch Hashem Israel now exists and I feel strongly that not only American Jews but all Jews should seriously consider looking into the possibility of making Aliyah. Our whole family have witnessed a sharp increase in new Olim making Aliyah from many countries in recent years.
