That feeling is clearly visible by listening to the various speakers on this video. The last thing many expected was a coordinated attack by terrorists on a suicide mission, which unfortunately is what all 9\/11 attacks turned out to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thiis resulted in the need for more security personnel and more sophisticated scanning equipment. I remember an increase in demand for EL AL flights due to its stringent security checks long before 9\/11 took place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sabena Flight 571<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sabena Flight 571<\/strong>&nbsp;was a scheduled passenger flight from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Brussels\">Brussels<\/a>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lod\">Lod<\/a>&nbsp;via&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vienna\">Vienna<\/a>&nbsp;operated by the Belgian national airline,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sabena\">Sabena<\/a>. On 8 May 1972 a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Boeing_707\">Boeing 707<\/a>&nbsp;passenger&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Aircraft\">aircraft<\/a>&nbsp;operating that service, captained by British pilot Reginald Levy,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Distinguished_Flying_Cross_(United_Kingdom)\">DFC<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sabena_Flight_571#cite_note-NYT-Levy-1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a>&nbsp;was hijacked by four members of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Black_September_Organization\">Black September Organization<\/a>, a Palestinian terrorist group. Following their instructions, Captain Levy landed the plane at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ben_Gurion_International_Airport\">Lod Airport<\/a>&nbsp;(later Ben Gurion International Airport).<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sabena_Flight_571#cite_note-NYT-Levy-1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a>&nbsp;The hijackers demanded that Israel release Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the hostages. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was among them, and he was wounded during the rescue operation. His brother Yoni was there to comfort him after the rescue had been complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A very interesting paragraph appears in this article which I want to highlight as follows-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>After the Israeli premiere, Netanyahu<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.haaretz.com\/blogs\/routine-emergencies\/.premium-1.670966\"><em>&nbsp;recalled lying wounded on the runway after the shootout<\/em><\/a><em>: \u201cI recognised my brother Yoni.\u201d Yoni Netanyahu was at the time a fellow commando, disappointed not to have taken part in Operation Isotope. \u201cHe ran to me, his face was very worried. He came closer. He saw me lying there with my white overalls stained with blood. In a moment [after realising his brother\u2019s injury was minor], his face changed and he said: \u2018You see, I told you that you shouldn\u2019t have gone!\u2019\u201d Yoni was to die in action four years later, when he was the only Israeli commando killed during Operation Entebbe to free Israeli hostages held by PLO fighters in Uganda.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>An Important Message For All Of Us<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Israelis have had to go through terrorist attacks from the time Israel was born and long before.
